China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT)
CIFIT is held annually from September 8th to 11th in Xiamen. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) and hosted by the governments of Fujian Province and the city of Xiamen. This affair, the largest of its kind in the world, is considered a golden opportunity for overseas businesses to enter the Chinese market. The CIFIT provides a platform for capital exchange between China and countries in other parts of the world. Main participants include investors, trading companies, intermediary agencies, financial institutions, and government officials from more than 100 countries around the world. US Delegation at the 13th of CIFIT, 2009
CIEP INC. is the official representative of CIFIT in the US and has worked as a liaison with Keynote speakers for "World Capital Forum" and "Invest in Texas Forum" at the 13th CIFIT in 2009. Notably, Hayward B Davenport, Northern east Regional Director of MBDA, US department of Commerce gave his great speech "Build Globe Business Mobility -- Driving US minority business growth opportunity with China"; Williams Overholt, the author of "China's Rise" and professor at Harvard University was among many other world class speakers who also gave their speeches at forum.
CIEP also worked with the Texas governor's office, as a co-organizer and co-sponsor of the "Invest in Texas Forum." It is a good model to coincide the event with CIFIT to maximize publicity. Texas State Department of Asia business development, Dallas business commerce, business associations and corporations introduced the Texas investment environment, incentive policy and presented feasible projects for investors.

13th China International Fair of Investment & Trade Promotional Symposium in New York City
A Six person delegation from Xiamen municipal government headed by Mr. Liu Quan Li, Deputy Director General of CIFIT Organizing Committee visited New York City from July 9 to 11 to promote CIFIT. CIEP hosted the delegation and organized a promotional Symposium for the 13th CIFIT, where Mrs. Yajuan Wang, Deputy Director of Liaison Division of CIFIT Organizing Committee made a presentation. Over 100 guests include various business associations, senior officials from local government, investment institutions, industrial organizations, agencies and enterprises. The event was covered by World Journal, China Press, Ming Bao, China Radio Network, SinoVision and NYTV8.
12th China International Fair of Investment & Trade Promotional Symposium in New York City
A four person delegation from Xiamen municipal government headed by Ms. Yang Shao Jing, Deputy Director General of CIFIT Organizing Committee visited New York City from June 7 to 9 to promote CIFIT. CIEP hosted the delegation and organized a promotional Symposium for the 12th CIFIT. Over 70 participates, 10 Journalists and media agencies attended the event.
